6.Facebook is killing off the like button on all pages
- Users will only see the option to follow your page
- Currently testing
Facebook is dropping the “like” button for pages in favor of a more simplified approach, but it could mean some of your favorite Facebook pages, will no longer show up on your news feed.
What does this mean?
Instead of being able to “like” and “follow” a page, you will soon only be able to “follow” a page. Thousands of you who only like a your page may no longer see your posts unless they choose to “follow” you instead.
If you already like and follow a Facebook page. You won’t need to do anything. You will still follow that page and get the latest news and posts on that page.
Facebook announced it is “removing ‘Likes’ and focusing on ‘Followers’ to simplify the way people connect with their favorite Pages. Unlike Likes, Followers of a Page represent the people who can receive updates from Pages, which helps give public figures a stronger indication of their fan base.
These changes are happening on some pages you may already “like,” so you may want to check your settings to see if other pages you “like” need to be followed as well.
Facebook is currently testing removing the like button from all pages, as most people have always found it a little confusing and people have asked me before what’s the difference between the like and follow button,
Basically. When someone likes a page, they are showing support for that page. The page will show up in the about section of a person’s account under likes. A (Facebook) follow is a person who has chosen to see updates posted by a page on his/her news feed.
